米国大使館公邸レセプション
2019年11月7日、ジョセフMヤング臨時代理大使のご厚意により、米国大使館公邸にてレセプションを開催した。およそ240名の会員が参加した。冒頭、ヤング公使と藤崎会長から開会の挨拶があり、その後食事を頂きながら、大使館職員や会員同士での懇談が行われた。最後には、日米協会学生インターンによる歌のパフォーマンスで、「上を向いて歩こう」が日本語と英語の歌詞で歌われた。今年の大使館公邸レセプションも盛況のうちに終了した。
On November 7th, 2019, the AJS Reception was held at the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence. Mr. Joseph M. Young, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy, and Mr. Ichiro Fujisaki, president of the America-Japan Society, gave brief welcome remarks, followed by social networking both with embassy staff and AJS members, enjoying a buffet-style dinner. At the end of the reception, 17 AJS student interns performed a chorus of “Sukiyaki (Ue o Muite Arukou)” in both English and Japanese.
