今般皆さま方に被害を受けた方々への義援金をお願いしましたところ、帝国ホテルより100万円の他、多くの企業会員の各社、久留米や東京多摩など全国連合会の協会、そして多くの個人会員の皆さま方より多大のご寄付を頂き、総額は3,983,500円に達しました。本日付でハワイ日米協会(Japan-America Society of Hawaii, JASH)会長宛に以下の藤崎会長メッセージと共に全額を送金することと致しましたので、謹んでご報告申し上げます。

We have watched with sorrow the devastating wildfires last month. Members of America-Japan societies around Japan send our deepest condolence for the casualties and extend helping hands to those affected in the area. We received around 3.973 million yen from our members, including our sister Societies in Kurume and Tokyo-Tama and corporate members, in particular 1.0 million yen from Imperial Hotel, Ltd. The total amount may be supplemented by additional donations. Although this amount would cover only a small portion of the amount needed, we hope it would be accepted as a token of our friendship. Please deliver this to appropriate people or organizations. Our thoughts are with you. We all pray for the swift recovery.
