The 10th Next Generation’s Roundtable in TOKYO (2018-2019)
２０１９年9月4日に次世代ラウンドテーブル（NGRT）2期の第10回目のミーティングが六本木ヒルズクラブで開催された。今回は宇宙ベンチャー企業AstroscaleのCOOであるクリス・ブラッカビー氏にお越し頂いた。 基調スピーチでは宇宙ゴミの問題や宇宙ビジネスの今後について問われ、各テーブルでの意見交換が行われた。まだビジネスモデルの例が少ない宇宙の分野において、技術面、経済面、政策面での課題をどのように解決していくべきかが話し合われた。総括では、まだ馴染みのない問題であるため普段あまり意識されることは少ないが、今後ますます議論が必要となる分野であるため多様な視点での問題解決が必要となってくるとのコメントがなされた。NGRTの第2ラウンドは今回を以って終了となり、2019年10月から3期生を迎えて新たにスタートする。
The 10th Next Generation Round Table (NGRT) was held on Sep. 4th, 2019 at Roppongi Hills Club, beginning with a key note remark by Mr. Chris Blackerby, Group COO at Astroscale, a venture-backed company that is planning to remove debris from space in order to create a more sustainable orbital environment.
He mentioned about the issue of space debris and space economy. Through the group discussions, participants discussed the solution for the issues from different perspectives such as development of the skill, economical influence, and political/ international rules of the space business. As the closing remarks by Mr. Chris, it is insisted that space business is yet to be familiar but further studies and discussion are needed for the future.
