Trump’s America and the Rise of Populism
On Thursday May 25, AJS welcomed Dr. Samuel Potolicchio, who is a Director of Global and Custom Education at the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University.
He gave us a talk about America after Trump administration for about an hour in English with simultaneous translation to Japanese. About 70 AJS members attended and many of them asked questions, such as “Who is the general public in America?” “Why Donald Trump was chosen to be a president?”, etc. We are all intrigued to hear what we cannot see on news in Japan, such as Dr. Potolicchio’s prediction that it may be a possibility that Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO would run for next presidential election.
