American Studies Conference 2017
The US Study Grants Program 2017 was held at the International House of Japan on October 2nd. About 80 participants including AJS members, presenters and IUC students gathered. Mr. Gregory Aurit from the American Embassy and the President Fujisaki made notable speeches on the notion of importance of interactive sessions among young generations regarding America-Japan relations. After the buffet lunch, the stage was given to Japanese graduate students to present on their studies, covering wide range of subjects including art, martial arts, literature, politics and diplomacy. Each comprehensive discussion stimulated participants. The program was closed with comments from three commentators from Tokyo, Keio and Seikei universities, leaving us hope for next year’s meeting.
