AJS’s 100th Anniversary on April 13,2017

AJS was born on April 13, 1917 in Tokyo. (Please refer to “AJS’s Footsteps for more in detail.)

Commemorating 100th anniversary, AJS will start various new programs such as Anniversary Ceremony, Japan-US Youth Exchange Programs as stated below:


1.Anniversary Ceremony to be held on April 13, 2017

2.Research scholarship program for both Japanese and American graduate students for better mutual understanding between two nations, i.e., American students to study about Japan vis-à-vis Japanese students to study about America through short visit to the respective countries.

3.Quiz competition for Japanese High School students about America and Japan-US relations conducted in English

4.Exchange programs between young Americans living in Japan and young Japanese

5.“AJS Award” to a personnel or group that contributed to Japan-US interchange relations on a grass-root level.
